Malda, 17th November: The English Bazar Police arrested two men along with stolen mobiles worth 4 lakh rupees. The arrested have been identified as Saheb Das(23), a resident of the New Gayeshpur area, and Debabrata Sarkar (25), a resident of Habibpur police station area.
According to police sources, a theft took place at a mobile shop in the Rajmahal Road area of Malda on November 02. Following which, a complaint was lodged at the English Bazar police station.
Based on the complaint, the police launched investigations and arrested Saheb Das from the New Gayeshpur area. After interrogating him, the police arrested Debabrata Sarkar from the Habibpur area on Monday night. The arrested individuals were produced before the Malda district court on Tuesday.
